Rangers’ Colby Lewis Returns From DL

Colby Lewis was in the middle of a fine season for the Texas Rangers, walking only 12 hitters in his first 100 innings and sporting a 3.51 ERA, quite low for The Ballpark in Arlington. But along with several of his rotation-mates, he succumbed to an injury. In Lewis's case, it was forearm tendinitis.

But as of Wednesday, he’s back:

Oakland's probably a pretty good place for a homer-happy pitcher like Lewis to get a tuneup, but the A's have been homer-happy themselves.

To make room for Lewis, the Rangers option prospect Martin Perez to Round Rock. The 21-year-old Perez had a 5.54 ERA in four games (two starts), striking out nine and walking six in thirteen innings.

Derek Holland was recently reinstated from the DL, leaving Neftali Feliz as the only Rangers starter still disabled.
