Oakland Athletics third baseman Brandon Inge is one tough, tough dude. During Saturday's game against the White Sox, Inge fell on his shoulder making a diving catch attempt and dislocated it.
Brandon Inge Hits DL With Dislocated Shoulder
The A’s third baseman is one tough dude, but he’ll rest his shoulder now for a couple of weeks.

He got up awkwardly from the play and put his shoulder back in place. As someone who once had a dislocated finger, and put it back, I can tell you this is not recommended. Here’s what the play looked like:
Inge finished the game, but has not played since, and he and the A’s Tuesday acknowledged the difficulty of playing baseball with a separated shoulder:

#Athletics place Brandon Inge on the 15-day disabled list; recall Josh Donaldson from Triple-A Sacramento.
Donaldson has been playing third and catching at Sacramento, and he’s batting .335. I know manager Bob Melvin liked his effort level trying to get up to speed at third during the spring, and even though Donaldson has yet to hit at the big-league level, the A’s have always thought he might prove to be a decent utility-type player, considering that he can also play in the outfield. While that may be, he’ll never be as tough as Brandon Inge.
