Indian Uprising

For some reason, the first Sports Illustrated cover I think of is the one from April, 1987, with Cory Snyder and Joe Carter. Not sure why that’s iconic to me, but it is.

↵When I was looking for that cover, I also found a lengthy, fantastic Peter Gammons breakdown of Game 6 of the 1986 World Series in that same issue. My point is this: The free SI archives are a great way to get fired. I’ll see you in a few hours.
