The Return of the Spaceman

When Bill Lee was 63, he set a record for the oldest pitcher to win a professional game, pitching five innings for the Brockton Rox. But all records are made to be broken, sometimes even if you have to do it yourself:

↵The San Rafael Pacifics have signed Lee, and on Thursday, Aug. 23, the 65-year-old will look to break his own record, as he gets the start for the Pacifics who host the Maui Na Koa Ikaika as part of a six-game, season-ending series. ↵Apropos of nothing, the last three hitters Lee had to face in his major-league career were Steve Garvey, Mike Scioscia, and Bill Russell.
