The Dolphins have a full-fledged quarterback competition underway in Miami. On Friday against the Carolina Panthers, Ryan Tannehill did not help to assert himself as the leader in said race. The rookie quarterback went 11 for 23 for 100 yards, looking indecisive at times. As the only first round quarterback on the Dolphins depth chart, Miami would like to see him edge ahead but it's realistic that Tannehill is a work-in-progress.
Dolphins’ Ryan Tannehill Looks Questionable in QB Race: Fantasy Implications
Miami Dolphins 2012 first round choice Ryan Tannehill had a less than stellar outing in his second preseason game. We break down the fantasy implications.

Analysis: It is possible for Tannehill to win the quarterback job in Miami, but with Matt Moore returning, the Dolphins could be more inclined to let him start if Tannehill continues to show he is not quite there yet. Tannehill’s edge is his knowledge of the system and relationship with offensive coordinator Mike Sherman. However, even if Tannehill does win the starting job he will be no more than backup option, and will likely remain on waivers/free agency in most fantasy leagues.
