Steelers Vs. Colts Score Update: Steelers Go Up Quick 14-0 In First Quarter
It took a couple of passes for Ben Roethlisberger to get the jitters out before he settled down into his offense.
Antoine Bethea intercepted Roethlisberger's first pass to nowhere after the Steelers opened up with a surprisingly run heavy offense on the first drive. The Steelers ran six plays before the turnover - five of which were rushing. Little rushing speedster Chris Rainey got hit very hard on his rush and was taken to the locker room for tests of a possible concussion, but returned to the game a few minutes later.
Roethlisberger settled down for the second drive, and Mike Wallace might want to end his contract hold out pretty quickly. Antonio Brown got some great blocks and turned a quick bubble screen pass into a 57-yard touchdown reception.
Andrew Luck first go against the Steelers is one to be forgotten so far. Luck went a quick four and out on the first drive and threw his first career NFL interception directly to Ike Turner, who returned it for a 49-yard touchdown to make it 14-0 Steelers.
Austin Collie had to be helped off the field after taking a nasty shot from Pittsburgh Steelers linebacker Larry Foote. He reportedly complained to trainers that something was bothering him, and considering his concussion history it is no surprise the Colts staff is playing it safe with him.
Luck finally started to heat up, completing three straight passes for first downs before the quarter end. He finished the first quarter 6-for-12 with 76 yards, one interception and a 35.4 QB rating.
