Offensive tackle Will Svitek won’t play in 2012 due to an arm injury.

Svitek has been playing behind Sam Baker at left tackle during training camp and was trying to win the starting nod at that position.
Svitek has played six seasons in the NFL, the last three of those with Atlanta. He appeared in 16 games for Atlanta in 2011 and started 10 of them. All told, Svitek has appeared in 45 games for the Falcons since 2009 and has made 12 starts.
Prior to coming to Atlanta, Svitek spent three seasons with the Kansas City Chiefs, where he played in a total of 16 games and made two starts.
