Miguel Cabrera Leaves Game With Ankle Soreness
The Tigers’ third baseman had to leave Thursday’s game with an apparent injury.
That’s why this report from ESPN’s Steve Berthiaume could put a chill into the heart of any Tigers fan:
CABRERA LEAVES GAME: #Tigers trainer & Jim Leyland out to 3B. Something suddenly wrong with Miguel Cabrera, who may have tweaked a knee.
The injury apparently happened in the second inning, but The play-by-play of that inning doesn’t even indicate Cabrera was involved in any play that could have caused an injury:
That’s all the information that’s available now; we’ll await further news on this possible wrench in Detroit’s postseason ambitions.
