Fitzgerald Toussaint Still Not Cleared To Play, Says Brady Hoke

Michigan Wolverines running back Fitzgerald Toussaint may still be forced to sit out the team's season opener against the Alabama Crimson Tide because of his offseason suspension, according to Kyle Meinke of MLive. Toussaint and defensive end Frank Clark were suspended by head coach Brady Hoke following offseason arrests.

On Wednesday, Hoke told reporters that both players have been practicing with the team this weekend in anticipation of playing the defending national champions, but he’s still not sure whether either one take the field. Toussaint and Clark were each arrested in separate incidents this year, forcing the respective suspensions from Hoke.

Without their starting running back in Toussaint, the Wolverines will likely go with sophomore Thomas Rawls against Alabama. Clark is a backup, but he provides depth and Michigan presumably wants all of its weapons on the field this weekend against the Crimson Tide.
