National For A(nother) Day: John Lannan

No, he didn't win some sort of contest. MLB's got this screwy new rule that allows a team to carry 26 players on the occasion of a double-header. Which the Nationals have, today. So John Lannan gets a one-day reprieve from his minor-league exile, and will start against the Marlins this afternoon.

A couple of weeks ago in the second game of a twin bill, Lannan held the Braves to two runs in seven innings. He's got a 5.24 ERA in 19 Class AAA starts.
