Just when you think Bill James has thought of everything worth thinking of, he comes up with something else.

↵This time, it’s the brilliant notion that while Triple Crown seasons are incredibly rare -- we haven’t seen one since 1967 -- there are players who excel in all three Triple Crown categories. So why not recognize the players each season who most excel in all three?

Alas, Bill's piece is subscriber-only. But I will tell you that Ted Williams is your "Triple Crown leader" in eight seasons; in recent years, Albert Pujols leads the way with five.
