Frank Gore Breaks the Century Mark vs. Green Bay, Remains Fantasy Must-Start

San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore had a big day against the Green Bay Packers. We discuss the fantasy implications.

Presswire

In the Week 1 match-up versus Green Bay, San Francisco 49ers running back Frank Gore had a big day, helping the 49ers secure the win. The franchise's all-time leading rusher carried the ball 16 times for 112 yards and a touchdown. In a crowded backfield, Gore had the most carries of all the backs on the day.

Fantasy Analysis: The San Francisco 49ers tailback is the featured back in this run game -- which is among the best in the league. Gore is one of the more productive players in the league when he gets his touches, and as far as running backs go, he has some of the best field vision. In Jim Harbaugh’s offense, Gore is a very important player. Gore is a must-start each week.
