Mexico can lock up a berth in the hexagonal round of CONCACAF World Cup qualifying on Tuesday, and it would be ridiculous to expect them not to do so. They won comfortably in San Jose against a Costa Rica side who hasn't looked like one of CONCACAF's elite sides so far in this tournament. Anything but a win at Azteca will be a failure for El Tri.

Jose Manuel de la Torre has struggled to find the right pair of players in the center of midfield, but he might have solved his conundrum on Friday night. The pairing of Carlos Salcido and Jesus Zavala was very solid and outplayed their Costa Rican compatriots, while also chipping in a goal each from set pieces. Expect Mexico to go with the same pair on Tueday. Chepo may make a change up top, however, as the pair of Javier Hernandez and Oribe Peralta was not terribly effective.
