This week, I’m only pointing out two prospects who had down weeks. That’s because I want feedback. The negative spotlight is on Virginia Tech quarterback Logan Thomas and Tennessee wide receiver Justin Hunter. By more than one publication, both have been referred as the best prospect at their positions. But I’m starting to become skeptical. What do you think of these two players?

Logan Thomas, QB, Virginia Tech
Thomas was just one of the top quarterback prospects who struggled last weekend. Matt Barkley and Tyler Bray had their problems last weekend, but Thomas hasn't been impressive at any point thus far in 2012. He's completing only 54.3 percent. Thomas had trouble against Pittsburgh in Saturday's 35-17 loss. Against Pitt, Thomas was intercepted three times and completed less than 50 percent of his passes. An issue for Thomas is the offensive system at Virginia Tech. It's part-time pistol, part-time option read. His quarterbacks coach Mike O'Cain also said Thomas is "feeling a little more pressure" this season. So far, he's not adapting to it very well.

Justin Hunter, WR, Tennessee
Hunter has the stats this season (16 catches for 415 yard and three touchdowns), and he's hailed by many as the top wide receiver prospect in the nation. But he's dealt with drops on more than one occasion this season. Against North Carolina State to open the season, he had two drops. He also had a critical drop against Florida on Saturday. For a wide receiver, that's an unenviable trend. Now some may be wondering if it's junior Cordarrelle Patterson who is the better wide receiver on Tennessee's roster.
