49ers quarterback Alex Smith is known for wearing a Giants hat during his post-game press conferences. The always rational and fan-friendly NFL, though, threatened to fine him $15,000 if he continued to wear the unauthorized cap.

↵Giants manager Bruce Bochy’s response? A show of solidarity. It’s not exactly Tommie Smith and John Carlos in the ‘68 Olympics, but it’ll do.
