Liverpool central defender Daniel Agger left the Northwest Derby on a stretcher. He was suspected to have knee ligament damage, but got lucky and just has a bruise. Martin Kelly did not get as lucky.

It would be an understatement to say their season hasn’t gone exactly as planned so far, but the loss of their best defender will be a terrible blow for a side that has picked up just two points from five games and is currently sitting in the relegation zone.
