The Music City Miracle was arguably the biggest game in the history of the Tennessee Titans, and a large part of that was the 'Home Run Throwback,' a play the team practiced over and over again on kickoffs, but didn't use until they needed it most.
Titans Successfully Execute ‘Music City Miracle’ Reenactment
The win got the Titans into a divisional playoff game, and Tennessee would later wind up in the Super Bowl to face the Rams. Nostalgia is great, but reenactment is even better.
The throwback by Darius Reynaud allowed Tommie Campbell to flip sides of the field and take the punt 65 yards into the endzone, giving the Titans a 17-6 lead over the Lions.
It's yet to be seen if the 0-2 Titans have any more magic in them to get anywhere close to the Super Bowl this year, with first-year starter Jake Locker under center, but we can all agree this makes for a very nice play -- and an even better gif.
