Fred Jackson injury: Bills RB limps off field

Jackson limped off the field and has headed into the locker room, but C.J. Spiller has returned to field.

Buffalo Bills running back Fred Jackson limped off the field against the Baltimore Ravens and has headed into the locker room for treatment.

Jackson took himself out of the game late in the third quarter, holding his left leg as he came to the sideline, according to Mike Rodak.

The good news for the Bills is that C.J. Spiller, who left earlier in the game with an ankle injury, has returned to the field.

Jackson had 68 yards and a touchdown on 11 carries to lead a Bills rushing attack that has gone for 177 yards through three quarters against the Ravens. Spiller has been less efficient, going for 65 yards on 21 carries.

Jackson, a seven-year pro who has played his entire career in Buffalo, has over 4,000 rushing yards and 20 touchdowns in his career. His highest output in 2013 came in Week 3 agains the Jets, when he went for 72 yards against the New York Jets.
