2013 Shrine Game, East roster: Collin Klein will try to raise draft stock

Russell Wilson surprised everyone by breaking the “prototypical” mold. Can Klein do the same?

USA TODAY Sports

The East-West Shrine game kicks off on January 19th, 4 p.m. ET in St. Petersburg, Fla, and decorated college quarterback Collin Klein will have another chance to prove himself to NFL scouts that don't believe he can succeed as a quarterback at the next level.

Klein, a 2012 Heisman Trophy finalist, has run for 50 touchdowns over the last two years for the Kansas State Wildcats. His 27 rushing touchdowns as a junior was an FBS record for a quarterback. He ran for 23 touchdowns as a senior while also throwing 16 touchdowns against 9 interceptions. Mocking the Draft ranks Klein as the 15th best QB prospect in this years draft.

Another quarterback on the East roster, Sean Renfree of Duke, is Mocking the Draft's 18th best QB prospect this year.

One of the top running backs in the Shrine game on the East roster will be Ray Graham of Pittsburgh. Graham ran for 1,042 yards and 11 touchdowns for the Panthers this year and currently ranks as the 18th best RB prospect on the board.

On the defensive side of the ball, Devin Taylor of South Carolina is the 19th best DE prospect according to Mocking the Draft.

The full roster can be found on the East-West Shrine Game official website.
