Louisiana-Monroe Warhawks head coach Todd Berry signed a four-year extension, the school announced Friday. Berry's new contract begins immediately and will run through 2016.

Coming off an impressive 2012 season, Louisiana-Monroe head coach Todd Berry signed an extension with the Warhawks.

Berry will have an annual base salary of $200,000, and he will receive and additional $50,000 from the ULM Athletic Foundation, which will jump to $100,000 per season beginning in 2014. Performance bonuses in the contract include an extra $25,000 for winning the Sun Belt championship and $5,000 for advancing to a bowl game.
Berry has been head coach at Louisiana-Monroe since the 2010 season, and after two years of work, he led the Warhawks to their best season in years in 2012. Louisiana-Monroe finished the regular season 8-4 and received and invitation to the Independence Bowl, where it lost to Ohio, 45-14. During the season, the Warhawks upset then-No. 8 Arkansas and nearly defeated Auburn and Baylor.
This season, Louisiana-Monroe finished with a winning record for the first time since 1993, when it was a member of the FCS Southland Conference. The bowl appearance was the first in school history.
