As the 2013 Australian Open enters the first weekend of the tournament, big names will be in action during Saturday’s slate of matches. ESPN2 and the Tennis Channel will cover the action.
2013 Australian Open TV coverage and schedule for Saturday’s matches
Serena Williams, Roger Federer and Andy Murray all take the court for their third-round matches in the Australian Open Saturday.


On the women’s side, third-seeded Serena Williams faces Japan’s Ayumi Morita in a third-round pairing. At the same time, top-seeded Victoria Azarenka takes on American Jamie Hampton. The winner of the Williams/Morita conquest faces the winner of the match between No. 20 Yanina Wickmayer and No. 14 Maria Kirilenko.
For the men, No. 3 Andy Murray takes on Ricardas Berankis to start things off, followed by second-seeded Roger Federer facing Bernard Tomic later on. In the fourth round, Murray or Berankis will meet the winner between fellow Frenchmen Gael Monfils and Gilles Simon, the tournament’s 14-seed.
Additionally, the sixth-seeded Argentinian Juan Martin Del Potro takes on France’s Jeremy Chardy, while the seventh-seeded Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, also of France, faces Blaz Kavcic.
