Australian Open 2013 bracket update: Serena Williams, Caroline Wozniacki, Maria Sharapova still alive

There have been few surprises so far in the women’s draw at the Australian Open.

The women’s draws in Grand Slams in 2012 were typically a cascade of upsets and surprises in the first few rounds, but the first Grand Slam of 2013 -- the Australian Open -- has offered few surprises. The top six seeds — Victoria Azarenka, Maria Sharapova, Serena Williams, Agnieszka Radwanska, Angelique Kerber and Na Li — have all advanced to the fourth round, setting up what are sure to be some thrilling matches in the second half of the fortnight.

The fourth-round match that most will be looking forward to, other than whatever match Maria Sharapova is in, will be Serena Williams against 14th-seeded Maria Kirilenko. Williams hasn’t come close to dropping a set and Kirilenko hasn’t dropped one either.

Other matches to look forward to will be Wozniacki, former world No. 1, trying to continue toward her first Grand Slam against two-time slam winner Svetlana Kuznetsova, and Ana Ivanovic trying to continue her career reclamation project against the rising Polish star Radwanska.
