Caleb Moore died Thursday, Jan. 31 as a result of injuries suffered in a snowmobile accident while performing in the Winter X Games last week. He was 25 years old.
Family sets up site to support injured X-Gamer
The family of injured X Games snowmobile competitor Caleb Moore has set up a fund to collect donations on his behalf via a website, according to a USA Today report.
Moore was injured on Thursday when an attempt to perform a backflip on his snowmobile fell short and went terribly wrong. The machine landed directly on top of him after striking the ground as he worked to pull it from underneath him. He initially walked away from the crash with what was deemed a concussion, but things took a turn for the worse when doctors discovered bleeding from his heart.
