Giancarlo Stanton to the Marlins? It’s possible

Baseball Prospectus thoroughly strip-mined the Internet of fan-inspired trade packages for talented outfielder Giancarlo Stanton. They unearthed fans of 29 teams who offered their proposals somewhere on a web page. The only team they didn’t seem to find: the Miami Marlins.

What would the Marlins need to give up for Stanton? As a lifelong Marlins fan, I’d be fine with Jacob Turner, Logan Morrison and maybe one other low-level prospect for him. Stanton would instantly upgrade our outfield (he’s under team control for a while!), plus in return the Marlins would get a future ace pitcher and a needed change of scenery for LoMo. Win-win.
