Dan Marino has a lot of titles in his life, Hall of Fame quarterback, Ace Ventura star, CBS football analyst, former Isotoner spokesman, husband, and now, father of a love child, according to the New York Post. The former Miami Dolphins quarterback fathered a child with Donna Savattere in 2005, who was a production assistant for CBS Sports at the time.

Marino admitted to the affair on Wednesday. That will not change his scheduled regular appearance on CBS as scheduled this Sunday. He will be working the CBS Super Bowl pregame show which begins at 2 p.m. ET.

Marino, who has six children with his wife Claire, paid Savattere millions to care for their child, Chloe, born in June 2005, and to keep the matter private. After receiving the money, Savattere became a fixture in the high society social scene and married Nahill Younis, who she met in the Bahamas.

On Wednesday, Marino responded to the revelation with a statement to the New York Post.

“This is a personal and private matter. I take full responsibility both personally and financially for my actions now as I did then. We mutually agreed to keep our arrangement private to protect all parties involved.”

Marino went on to say that his marriage remains intact and that they “continue to be a strong and loving family.” He has had occasional meetings with Chloe, who is now seven.
