Joe Johnson hit an 18 footer with 0.7 second left in double overtime to give Brooklyn the win over Washington in a wild game at the Verizon Center.

Joe Johnson hit an 18-foot jump shot with 0.7 seconds to go, propelling the Brooklyn Nets to a 115-113 OT victory over the Washington Wizards at the Verizon Center in Washington, D.C. The win is the fourth in five games since P.J. Carlesimo took over as Brooklyn's coach.

It looked as if Brooklyn had won the game in regulation, as Brook Lopez' put back dunk of a Gerald Wallace miss gave the Nets a two-point lead with three seconds remaining. However, on the ensuing possession, Nene hit a jump hook over Lopez to send the game into overtime. The first overtime was a period of runs, as Washington raced out to an eight-point lead, before allowing Brooklyn to respond with an 11-0 run of their own. Bradley Beal then made a 27-foot three-pointer at the overtime buzzer to send the game to a second extra session. The Nets had a five game lead late in the second overtime, only to see Washington race back again behind Beal. However, Johnson's jumper proved the game winner as Jordan Crawford missed a desperation attempt at the buzzer.

Lopez led Brooklyn with 27 points and 13 rebounds, while Deron Williams added 24 and Johnson 18. Andray Blatche had 13 in his return to Washington after the team released him in the offseason.

Beal led the Wizards with 24 points, while Crawford chipped in 23 and Nene 20. Garrett Temple pitched in 11 assists.

Brooklyn improves to 18-15 with the win, and will host Sacramento on Saturday. Washington falls to 4-27, and will travel to Miami to take on the Heat on Sunday. One of Washington's four victories on the season came against the defending NBA champions.
