No. 6 Kansas vs. Temple final score: Kansas survives scare, 69-62
Temple went on the road and gave No. 6 Kansas a scare at Allen Fieldhouse on Sunday.

Unranked Temple trailed by six at halftime, 33-27, but quickly erased the deficit a little after five minutes had been played in the second half. Despite a poor shooting percentage from the floor, the Owls were able to take a lead by slowing down the pace and by getting to the free throw line often and converting when they got there. Temple did not go away easily in front of a raucous crowd once Kansas regained the lead and kept the score close down to the final two minutes. However, the Kansas defense was too much and 12 team blocks thwarted the Owls on enough possessions to seal the win for the Jayhawks.
Khalif Wyatt had 26 points to lead Temple and Anthony Lee and Will Cummings chipped in 11 for the Owls. Kansas spread their points out with no player scoring more than Kevin Young who had 16 points and 10 rebounds. Jeff Withey nearly had a triple-double for the Jayhawks with eight points, nine blocks and 11 rebounds.
