Dwight Howard aggravated his shoulder injury in the Los Angeles Lakers' loss to the Denver Nuggets at the Staples Center on Sunday night. Howard will get an MRI in the morning and then will be evaulated for the Los Angeles' next game against the Houston Rockets on Tuesday.

The Lakers center injured his shoulder in Los Angeles’ loss to the Denver Nuggets on Sunday night.

The center sprained his rotator cuff in the loss to the Los Angeles Clippers on Friday night. Just like he did against the Clippers, Howard finished the contest on Sunday. He played 41 minutes, the second-most on the team after Kobe Bryant's 42, and recorded 14 points, four blocks and a season-high 26 rebounds.
It’s unclear how much the shoulder affected Howard’s performance, as he shot 2-of-6 at the free throw line and 6-of-7 from the field.
Despite receiving double-digit scoring performances from six players, including their entire starting five, the Lakers couldn't overcome their 18 turnovers, compared to eight for Denver. Los Angeles also struggled to generate easy baskets, scoring 38 points in the paint while allowing 60 to the Nuggets.
