For 45 minutes on Saturday, Boston College looked like they could do the improbable and pull off the upset against Clemson. However, it was all for naught, as two touchdowns in a one minute span at the start of the fourth quarter sealed the 24-14 win for the Tigers.
Clemson vs. Boston College results: Tigers come back for 24-14 win
The Eagles made things interesting on Saturday, but the Tigers survived to live another day.

Boston College got on the board first when Myles Willis scored from 38 yards out to make it 7-0 less than two minutes into the second quarter, and Clemson made it 7-3 with a last second field goal before halftime. Things came alive in the third quarter when Tajh Boyd hit Sammy Watkins for a 48 yard touchdown pass, but the Eagles would respond almost instantly with Chase Rettig connecting with Alex Amidon for a 69 yard touchdown pass to make it 14-10. The fourth quarter would be the Eagles' undoing, though, as they had no answer for Clemson's quick 14 point burst.
The Tigers survived a scare on Saturday, and they are undefeated going into a massive showdown against Florida State. They might have been looking ahead a little bit, but fortunately for them, it won’t come back to haunt them.
Box Score Hero:
Tajh Boyd didn’t score a boatload of touchdowns, but he was efficient and his team won. He went 30-44 for 334 yards, and scored one touchdown in the air and on the ground.
Rankings Ramifications:
The Tigers came into the game ranked third in the AP poll and fourth in the USA Today poll, and they should hold steady there barring a team above them losing. BC will remain unranked.
But Did They Cover?
Clemson was a 24 point favorite at kickoff, so no, they did not cover.
