NASCAR at Talladega 2013 weather forecast: Passing showers Saturday morning

A passing shower is possible this morning at Talladega Superspeedway but the weather shouldn’t cause too many problems for NASCAR this weekend.

Few showers associated with an upper level storm system will try to work across central Alabama and over Talladega Superspeedway this morning. Most of these showers will be very light as the air close to the surface is relatively dry. By late morning or early afternoon, the rain showers are expected to move more south and east and start to diminish over the track.

If weather was going to cause a problem this weekend for NASCAR at Talladega Superspeedway it would be today and only Sprint Cup qualifying could be delayed because of a lingering shower.

The rest of the weekend looks great. Sunshine returns for Sunday, rain showers will no longer be a concern and temperatures in the afternoon will be in the upper 60s, reaching a high of near 70 late in the day.
