The A-League reaches its fourth weekend and with it comes the return of a whole host of big name and key players. An impressive list includes Alessandro Del Piero, Brett Emerton, Shane Smeltz, Jeronimo, Marcelo Carrusca, Harry Kewell, Emile Heskey, Marcel Seip and Pablo Contreras, each of whom missed at least the past week, if not the entire season to date. While form and overall quality have begun to level out through three weeks, these players' returns will have a lot to do with how A-League clubs respond to early adversity or continue bright starts.

Heskey and Del Piero are obviously the focus, but beyond their star status, both Newcastle Jets and Sydney FC are off to slow starts. The returns of their key players will give a better idea of whether or not the early struggles are lasting or if the big names can live up to that status and enlighten their teammates.
