Friday night brought strong storms across eastern Kansas, including Kansas Speedway. Those storms were associated with a strong cold front. Now that the cold front has passed, cooler air has filtered in and the weekend will be chilly for NASCAR and its fan.
NASCAR at Kansas 2013 Weather forecast: Much colder air
After a round of strong storms Friday night, cooler air will settle in over Kansas Speedway today and Sunday. While it will be very cool it will be dry and sunny.


Temperatures today will be chilly, only reaching the low 60s. It will be breezy with winds between 10 to 20 mph and gusting to near 25 mph out of the west-northwest. Skies will be partly to mostly sunny.
Sunday is similar to today but with less winds, skies will be partly to mostly sunny and remaining chilly with highs in the low 60s.
