The Breeders' Cup returns to Santa Anita this weekend for the 30th time. A total of 14 races will be run on Friday and Saturday, with $2 million in prize money being awarded on Friday to the winner of the mile and an eighth distaff -- returning to its name after being called the Ladies' Classic.

A total of six horses will run in Friday's premiere event, as Royal Delta looks to continue her strong 2013 season on the dirt track. She won three races in six starts this season, placing twice. Jockey Mike Smith rode Royal Delta to a win in the Beldame Invitational Stakes on Sept. 28, and hopes he can follow up on a first place in last year's Ladies' Classic.

Royal Delta is the only horse in Breeders' Cup history to win the race in back-to-back years, and a win Friday would extend this historic run.
