The Minnesota Timberwolves have gotten off to a fantastic start this NBA season, and it appears things are about to get even better. After a few years of awful injury luck, Minnesota appears close to adding Chase Budinger to its offensive arsenal.

The former Arizona Wildcat has been cleared to resume basketball activities six weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a torn meniscus in his left knee, Yahoo! Sports’ Adrian Wojnarowski reports.
Wojnarowski reports that in the past week, Budinger began running on a treadmill and shooting on the court. In rejoining the team, the plan is for Budinger to continue building on his basketball-related rehab process, Woj said.
Budinger signed a three-year, $16 million contract to return to Minnesota in July. His outside shooting and overall ability should provide a significant boost for the Timberwolves, who have gotten off to a 6-3 start so far this season. Budinger played in just 23 games during the 2012-13 season.
