Greg Smith injury: Rockets’ forward out 10 days with sprained knee
Greg Smith was injured against the Knicks.

Houston Rockets big man Greg Smith left the game Thursday night against the New York Knicks after taking an ugly spill in the first quarter. Things were going well for the Rockets for most of the period until the forward went down.
The Rockets' big man stepped in to contest a Carmelo Anthony drive and was hit in the face, but the momentum caused him to fall backwards over his ankle and knee. Houston trainers had to help Smith leave the court, as he was not able to put weight on his leg.
This from Jonathan Feigen from the Houston Chronicle:
Smith putting no weight on leg. Terrence Jones, with two fouls, returns to replace Smith.

Kevin McHale has elected to use Terrence Jones instead of Omer Asik in Smith's absence, which is interesting in the wake of another recent Asik trade request.
Smith has been taken to the locker room where he is being examined, but it does not appear he will return.
Houston currently holds a 38-29 lead on New York.
