Melbourne Heart will be without Harry Kewell for at least two more weeks after the 35-year-old injured his ankle in training on Wednesday. The club put out a press release to confirm the injury and the expected time off. According to Heart, Kewell fell awkwardly and twisted his right ankle just as he was preparing to return from several weeks off due to whiplash suffered in the opening round Melbourne Derby on October 12.
Harry Kewell set to miss two more weeks
This time it’s an ankle injury in training for the oft-injured former star.

The injury is obviously disappointing for Kewell but is even more so for the Heart, who lost international marquee Orlando Engelaar in pre-season and have more recently been without Patrick Kisnorbo, who was injured in Heart's Round 3 defeat at Perth Glory. Though Michael Mifsud has finally arrived from Malta, the Mosquito has not yet gotten on the score sheet.
Heart’s next two matches come against the Sydney clubs with the Wanderers visiting AAMI Park on Friday before a second Friday night game against Sydney FC on Friday November 15. The Heart are one of three clubs without a win this season and look likely to extend that designation through five rounds with Western Sydney coming to town. Though David Williams has played very well and there have been some decent spells for Heart, the season has not started well and John Aloisi is coming closer to having to account for his poor record as a manager.
