Los Angeles Lakers guard Jordan Farmar has torn his left hamstring and will be sidelined for about four weeks, the team announced on Monday:
Jordan Farmar injury: Lakers guard out 4 weeks with torn left hamstring
Bad news for the Lakers: backup point guard Jordan Farmar will be out for the next month or so.

Injury Update: @JrFarmar had an ultrasound today that showed a tear of his left hamstring. He is expected to be out approximately 4 weeks.
— Los Angeles Lakers (@Lakers) December 2, 2013 Farmar suffered the injury in the first quarter of Los Angeles' game against the Portland Trail Blazers on Sunday. He had to leave the game and the Lakers went on to lose 114-108. Farmar initially thought it wouldn't be this serious and said that his goal was to not miss any action, via Lakers.com's Mike Trudell.
This is a big blow to a Los Angeles team that is already missing starting point guard Steve Nash. Farmar has quietly been putting together a nice season off the bench for the Lakers, averaging 9.2 points, 4.4 assists and 2.9 rebounds in just under 19 minutes per game.
Los Angeles has a few days off before its next game, a trip to Sacramento on Friday to play the Kings.
