Cheerleader reprises halfcourt flip shot with Harlem Globetrotters

Think it was just a fluke? Think again.

Bill Hanstock is a writer, author and Emmy Award-winning producer. He began writing for SB Nation in 2011.

She did it again, everyone! This time around she was the guest of the world-famous Harlem Globetrotters. From Globetrotters PR:

On the same day the Cheerleader “flip shot” went viral, Harlem Globetrotters star Firefly Fisher was in Hattiesburg, Miss., promoting their local game set to take place next Wednesday. Firefly met up with the newly famous cheerleader Ashley Arnau on the court at William Carey University.

Ashley successfully repeated the same shot with Firefly. In turn, Firefly nailed a half court “granny” shot. And Ashley taught Firefly how to do a cartwheel -which resulted in his own rendition of her famous shot.

Ashley will attempt to repeat the shot again in front of a live audience at the Globetrotters’ game in Hattiesburg on Wednesday, Feb. 27. As “Ambassadors of Goodwill,” the Globetrotters donated 100 tickets in Ashley’s name to those affected by the recent tornados that ripped through Hattiesburg last week.

And here’s the awesome footage:
