2013 DRIVE4COPD 300: Daytona Nationwide Series race preview
The NASCAR Nationwide Series begins its season Saturday with the DRIVE4COPD 300 at Daytona International Speedway.

The field will be led to the green flag by Trevor Bayne, who posted a lap in excess of 177 mph in qualifying Friday. This is Bayne’s first race in the No. 6 Roush Fenway Racing Ford as the replacement for two-time Nationwide champion Ricky Stenhouse, who has moved up to the Sprint Cup Series full-time.
Of the 43 drivers in the race, 12 will also be competing in Sunday’s Daytona, including Kyle Busch (starting seventh), Matt Kenseth (ninth), Tony Stewart (10th), Brad Keselowski (11th), Danica Patrick (12th) and Dale Earnhardt Jr. (13th).
In this race last year, an 11-car wreck in Turn 4 on the final lap opened the door for James Buescher, who was running 11th, to claim his first series win.
The DRIVE4COPD 300 takes the green flag at 1:15 p.m. ET and can be seen on ESPN with Motor Racing Network (MRN) and Sirius XM Satellite Radio providing radio coverage.
