Before the kickoff to Super Bowl XLVII on Sunday, the live crowd and the television watching audience at home were treated to a special moment. The Sandy Hook Chorus teamed up with recording superstar Jennifer Hudson to sing a rendition of “America the Beautiful” on the field at the Superdome.

Sandy Hook Elementary School was of course the site of a tragic school shooting on Dec. 14. It was a nice gesture of the NFL and CBS to pay tribute to the victims and survivors of that devastating day. You can watch the full video of their performance below:
