Center Mark Scheifele is headed back to the OHL after the Winnipeg Jets reassigned the young forward to the Barrie Colts on Wednesday, TSN's Darren Dreger reports.
Jets reassign Mark Scheifele to OHL
The Winnipeg Jets have sent center Mark Scheifele back to the juniors after appearing in just four games this season.

Scheifele played in just four games for the Jets this season, with no points while playing in limited minutes. The No. 7 overall pick in the 2011 draft did get an extended look with 16:47 of ice time against the Lightning on Feb. 1 but was a healthy scratch once more for Tuesday's 3-2 overtime win over the Florida Panthers.
Teams had just five games to make a decision on young players before an entry-level contract would kick in, down from ten games because of the shortened season.
Scheifele was touted as one of the more NHL-ready forwards in the draft in 2011 but has yet to find a permanent spot on the Jets roster, playing in seven games in 2011 before being sent back to juniors. In 30 games with Barrie in 2012-2013, Scheifele has 22 goals and 49 points and is a plus-19.
