False NFL free agency rumors that are inaccurate: Bills just walking down the road with soup can tied to leg

You just never know when the next NFL free agency period (4 p.m. Eastern Tuesday) is going to start. Here are some lies.

US PRESSWIRE

Hours before the official start of the NFL’s free agency period, Buffalo Bills general manager Buddy Nix poked a hole in an empty soup can with a drywall nail and tied a piece of string to it. He then tied the other end of the string to his ankle, left his home, and slowly began to walk down the street. As of this writing, he has walked approximately 3.6 miles, the can clanking about and scraping the concrete behind him, and is nearing the corner of Grant and Lafayette. Nobody knows where he is going. No one knows what is in his heart.

In other Buffalo front-office moves, head coach Doug Marrone has turned on a vacuum cleaner and let it sit still in the middle of his office for the last hour, occasionally throwing it peanuts and bird feed.
