Kobe Bryant went down with a "severe ankle sprain" in the final seconds of the Los Angeles Lakers' loss on Wednesday night. While trying to fight back in a tight game on the road against the Atlanta Hawks, Kobe Bryant pulled up for a baseline jumper and missed. But more importantly, Bryant fell down awkwardly and appeared to roll his ankle as he landed.
Dahntay Jones claims innocence in Kobe Bryant injury
Some people will argue that the play that Kobe Bryant got injured on was a little bit dirty. Atlanta’s Dahntay Jones claims that he wasn’t trying to hurt anybody.
Atlanta's Dahntay Jones was playing tight defense on the Lakers superstar. But some could say that the defense was a little bit too tight. Jones drifts into Bryant's landing area and somewhat forces him to adjust his feet as he lands.
But Jones wants to make it clear that there was nothing dirty about his defense on the play. Soon after the game, Jones took to Twitter and said that he wasn’t trying to do anything to injure Kobe. And if you don’t believe him, he suggests that you watch the tape. We’ll let you decide for yourself.
