Anders Lindback injury: Lightning goalie out indefinitely

Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Anders Lindback will be out indefinitely with a lower-body injury.

USA TODAY Sports

Tampa Bay Lightning goaltender Anders Lindback is out indefinitely due to a lower-body injury, according to Mike Corcoran of NBC Sportstalk 1040.

Lindback is believed to have sustained the injury in the team's game against the Toronto Maple Leafs on Wednesday night. Entering the game in relief of starter Mathieu Garon during the midway mark of the second period, Lindback left the game in the third period with a lower-body injury.

The team acknowledged that Lindback was going to be considered day-to-day following the game. Head coach Guy Boucher was hopeful that he would not be forced to miss an extended period of time.

Lindback has played in 21 of the team's 30 games this season and has registered a 10-7-1 record with a .903 save percentage and 2.88 goals against average. The 24-year-old goaltender was acquired this offseason via trade with the Nashville Predators.
