Brandt Snedeker currently sits on top of the 2013 FedEx Cup standings thanks to some consistent play in the early portion of the season. Snedeker has appeared in five events so far this season, winning one and placing in the top 10 in each of the other four. Tiger Woods is not far behind him, as he sits in second place, just 177 points behind. Matt Kuchar, Phil Mickelson and Steve Stricker round out the top five.

Snedeker’s FedEx Cup title defense is off to a good start.


Snedeker won the Cup last season and claimed a $10 million prize for his efforts. There are 36 PGA Tour events in which golfers can earn points leading up to the playoffs -- the top 125 players in the standings qualify for the playoffs, which consists of four events.
