The Toronto Maple Leafs have traded noted tough guy and pugilist Mike Brown to the Edmonton Oilers in exchange for undisclosed draft picks, reports TSN's Aaron Ward.

There has been speculation that the Oilers were looking to add more grit and more of a “tough” presence to the roster, which Brown certainly brings. Brown is under contract through 2014.
Brown has spent the past three seasons with the Maple Leafs after being traded to Toronto from the Anaheim Ducks in June of 2011. Brown began his career with the Vancouver Canucks after being drafted No. 159 overall in the 2004 draft.
Known for his big hits and willingness to drop the gloves, as well as his trademark handlebar mustache, Brown has appeared in more than 50 games in a season just once in his career. In 12 games this season, Brown has one assist and 70 penalty minutes on just two shots on goal.You can check out his extensive fight card here.
In 254 career NHL games, Brown has 14 goals and 11 assists to go along with 519 penalty minutes.
