In the conclusion of a thrilling day of basketball in the Horizon League tournament, Valparaiso led by as many as ten early in the second half, but Green Bay caught fire, shooting a scorching 65-percent from the field over the final 20 minutes. The Phoenix had a four point lead with 13 seconds to play, but Matt Kenney sank a three with seven seconds left to pull within one.

Alec Brown split a pair of free throws for Green Bay, leaving Valparaiso a chance to win the game with six seconds left. Ryan Broekhoff buried a fade-away three for the Crusaders as time expired, keeping their NCAA tournament hopes alive:

Wright State won the first semifinal game, knocking off last season's Horizon League tournament champion, the No. 2 Detroit Titans, 56-54. It was a competitive game throughout, with 14 ties and nine lead changes. Neither team gained more than a five-point lead throughout the entire game.

Raiders guard Miles Dixon was the hero for Wright State, sinking a contested baseline jumper as time expired. Dixon come off the bench to led the Raiders with 14 points, while forward Jerran Young chipped in 12. Titans guard Jason Calliste led all scorers with 17 points.

Valparaiso will host Wright State on Tuesday, March 12 for the tournament championship. The game will tip-off at 9 p.m. ET, with coverage on ESPN.
