Police scanners indicate the area around the finish line isn't safe and that there could be other possible explosive devices present:

Here's what we grabbed off the police scanner, available for listen here:
- Officers on Boylston Street who are not “protecting critical evidence” are instructed to leave the area, as well as EMS and Fire personnel.
- Scanner talk indicates officials suspect the explosions came from mailboxes. Police are trying to contact the postal service for a key for some boxes, and a truck that they’re moving to secure (double parked).
- Police are using social media to inform patrons of bars and restaurants that they will be released from those establishments when the area is secure.
- Scanner talk indicates there is another suspected device at 77687 Boylston, another device, in front of the Mandarin hotel.
We’ll have more updates as more information becomes available.
