It’s still a chaotic scene in Boston after the explosion that killed two people and injured 23. In an effort to provide some clarity, the New York Times has produced a map of the scene and initial timeline of the explosions.
Boston Marathon explosion: Updated map of the scene
As authorities are still trying to piece together what happened at the Boston Marathon, the New York Times has an updated map of the explosions and locations that killed two people.
The first explosion occurred on the north side of Boylston Street, just before the finish line. About 10 seconds later, the second explosion happened 550 feet away as the runners came in from the west side.
