Sharks vs. Blue Jackets: Andrew Desjardins dekes, scores brilliant goal
Desjardins’ pretty goal brought San Jose within a goal of the lead.
The Columbus Blue Jackets have continued their strong surge towards the playoffs on Sunday, but San Jose is suddenly right back within striking distance after a pretty display of stickhandling from Andrew Desjardins.
The Sharks rookie forward's inital play at the blueline made this goal happen. After poking the puck past Jack Johnson, Desjardin skated in, stopped on a dime and deked past Artem Anisimov and Sergei Bobrovsky to pull the Sharks within one goal. It was an impressive show of skill and a big goal for the Sharks, who need a point tonight to qualify for the playoffs.
